Stevie Hoang records new song with May J. through Skype

allkpop

UK-based singer Stevie Hoang has recorded a new song, titled All Around the World, featuring Japanese singer May J.!

To prepare for his upcoming Japanese album Summer Love on July 13th, Stevie Hoang decided to collaborate with R&B singer May J. This time, the two came together to cover Lisa Stansfields hit song, All Around The World.

---

In 2010, Stevie Hoang became good friends with May J. after being featured as a guest on her album Believin. But since Stevie Hoang is based in the U.K. and May J.s activities are all in Japan, the two could not meet directly to record their latest collaboration. To make up for the huge distance, the two communicated through Skype so that Hoang could give direction to May J.from his home in London as she recorded in Tokyo.

---

Initially, the two found Skype confusing, but the two gained mutual understanding of each others' songs by communicating in English. The recording went so smoothly and easily that it was as if Stevie was in the same studio, said May J. as she looked back on her experience. The 'making-of' video of the two stars communicating over Skype can also be seen on Hoang's official website.
