Fuji TV's Hanazakari no Kimitachi e has been receiving many complaints after it aired a certain scene on August 7th.
Actress Maeda Atsuko (20) was seen sporting a T-shirt printed with the words LITTLE BOY, which is the codename of the atomic bomb that dropped on Hiroshima back in World War II. Since the episode was aired the day after Hiroshima day (August 6th), manycriticisms surfaced on the internet. Hiroshima prefecture also received around 130 emails and phone calls up until the morning of the 11th about it.
Since Hiroshima prefecture heard voices say, It is very imprudent, they asked Fuji TV on August 10th to be more considerate from now on.
The public relations representative for Fuji TV commented, We didnt recognize that the writing on the T-shirt was the same name as the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima. We want to do our best to create a program without any misunderstandings.
