Toei released the poster image of the upcoming movie "Hard Romantic-er", starring Matsuda Shota as a high school dropout and second-generation Korean in Japan.
As explained in an earlier article, "Hard Romantic-er" is the movie adaptation of director Gu Su Yeon's semi-autobiographical novel, describing the violence that became a part of his everyday life.
The first teaser picture that was released with the said article, showed Matsuda with Gu's trademark, his neatly combed-back and blond hair. However, in the shocking poster we can see Gu checking his pitiful state in the mirror. A state that shows him marked by the violence - his hair not so neat anymore, a swollen eye and bruises all over his face. It's perfectly depicting the essence of the movie and should arouse the curiosity of those seeing it in movie theaters and other places.
The cast also includes Nagayama Kento, Maki Yoko, Watanabe Dai, Nakamura Shido, and many others.
"Hard Romantic-er" will open in Japan on November 26th.
