On August 5th, actress Suzuki Anne brought up the idea of getting rid of nuclear power on her Twitter.

She wrote, �I was born and raised in Tokyo, so.. there are a lot of things I don�t know about. But, I do know this. Let�s do our best! It may be a few years or decades, but regardless, let�s stop using nuclear power! Let our voices be heard!�

She also brought up actor Yamamoto Taro, who resigned from his agency due to his anti-nuclear power stance. Suzuki writes, �He wasn�t fired. He resigned on his own. I won�t resign and I don�t think my agency will fire me either�.

Her tweets seem to have had a big influence, as her amount of Twitter followers rapidly increased thereafter.
