A few days ago, it was announced that actor Abe Hiroshi was going to be on one of the covers of Stereopony's new song "Arigatou", which was also being used as the theme song for his new movie,"Tengoku kara no Yell".
The band have finally released their music video for the song, which features footage from the movie. Next to Abe, we also get to see the rest of the cast, including the actresses Mimura and Sakuraba Nanami, and actor Yano Masato.
This song was dedicated to Nakasone Hikaru, the real-life inspiration behind Abe's character in the film. "Tengoku kara no Yell" is based on the true story of Nakasone, who founded a free music studio for young musicians in Okinawa called 'Ajisai Ongaku Mura'. Nakasone took out a loan to provide young high school students with the opportunity to play music and pursue their dreams in the basement of his† bento shop. He produced many groups who† made major debuts, including Stereopony; unfortunately, he passed away in November 2009 at the young age of 42 from kidney cancer.
