Ichihara Hayato and Toda Erika, both stars of the movie 'DOG POLICE Junpaku no Kizuna', held a commemorative event to celebrate the mega hit of their new movie together. The event was held at Chinechitta Kawasaki.
The movie follows the pursuit of a police officer (played by Ichihara), a guard dog trainer (played by Toda) and their partner dogs in solving a series of continuous terrorist attacks. At the event, Ichihara and Toda brought Shiro and Brand, dogs they worked with in the movie, and in total brought five dogs. Along with that, they gave high fives to 1,000 people who attended the event.
The event was held on October 9th, which could be read as "Doggu (Dog)". Ichihara commented, "Today is 'Doggu no Hi' (Dog Day). Give thanks to your pet dogs or dogs in your neighborhood." Toda also remarked, "Shiro and the other dogs seem to be having a lot of fun as well" showing off a beautiful smile.
