Shinoda Mariko (25) of popular idol group AKB48 attended Roppongi Hills' Christmas Lighting Ceremony on November 8th. Shinoda showed up wearing around 70 million yen (~900,788 USD)'s worth of jewelry and a light pink dress.

Feeling relief upon completing her important task, Shinoda reflected, �I see this every year, so when I was asked to take this position, I was really excited. I�ve been so nervous up until now, so I�m glad it all finished without any problems.�

Shinoda, who often goes to see the lights, was asked who she wanted to go see them with. �Well, with the members. It�s also a famous date spot, so I wonder if it would be nice to come as a couple,� she said. She was also asked about her plans for Christmas, �The members have a party every year, but this year our schedules are kind of all over the place, so I don�t know if we�ll be able to do it��
