It was officially announced that Lady Gaga will be making an appearance on "The 62nd NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen"! �It will be a video appearance. �Her performance and message,�which will be recorded on the same day of the broadcast,�will be sent in from New York. �It's not been revealed which song she will perform.

Lady Gaga recently visited Japan on December 20th to perform at the "MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE 2011" (live broadcasted on the 23rd) held at Makuhari Messe.

On Kohaku Uta Gassen's official site, Lady Gaga left her message to the Japanese fans.

"I am looking forward to making an appearance on the Kohaku Uta Gassen on this New Year's Eve. �It is such an honor to be able to appear on the program that has an over 60 years history. �Thank you for supporting me ever since I debuted, and even during the hard time of the earthquake.

During my visit to Japan this time, I was very happy to see that Japan was regaining its cheerfulness back. �I love you all. �I will see you on December 31st."

The corner Lady Gaga is making an appearance is " 'Ashita wo Utaou.' Sekai no Message" which is to introduce messages from people overseas who encouraged Japan after the earthquake. �A football player Hasebe Makoto will be the presenter for the corner. �There will also be a message from Hong Kong actor, Jackie Chan.
