On March 6th, it was revealed that Kishi Yusuke's mystery novel "Aku no Kyoten" will get a live-action movie adaptation, starring actor Ito Hideaki. The novel "Aku no Kyoten" is a hit novel which sold a total of over 300,000 copies. The novel was released in July 2010, and as soon as it was released, it grabbed a huge amount of attention.

"Aku no Kyoten" is a psycho suspense that shows cruel murder cases that happen at a school, committed by a high school teacher, "Hasumi Seiji" (played by Ito). Hasumi won great popularity among the students, and he is also highly evaluated by those around him, however, he is actually a psychopath who has no empathy towards others.

The movie will be directed by Miike Takashi, and he stated that he is willing to freely portray the charm of the "dark hero" played by Ito.

Ito commented, "When I read the original novel, I was terrified by the absolute wickedness that Hasumi gives out, as it gave me goosebumps. I am a little worried that my personality might be swallowed by Hasumi while acting as him, but at the same time, I feel lucky as an actor to be able to challenge this intense 'evil'. With director Miike, I will aim to be the most evil and the worstprotagonistin movie history."

Live-action movie "Aku no Kyoten" is scheduled to be released in November.
