On March 9th, it was revealed that hit producer Kobayashi Takeshi will be handling all the tracks for Miike Takashi's upcoming movie 'Ai to Makoto', starring Tsumabuki Satoshi and Takei Emi.
'Ai to Makoto' is based on a popular manga series written by Kajiwara Ikki. It depicts an intense story about youth and love, featuring 'Taiga Makoto' (Tsumabuki), who is a juvenile delinquent high school boy, and Saotome Ai (Takei), who is a pure high school girl.
Kobayashi has produced a total of ten songs, including three original songs that were written especially for the movie. Of course they songs aren't just background music, as the whole cast had to tackle multiple singing and dance performances for the songs in addition to acting out their roles. Tsumabuki, for example, had to sing Saijo Hideki's "Hageshii Koi", while Takei had to sing Kitayama Osamu's "Ano Subarashii Ai Wo Mouichido".
Of course they won't be the only ones gracing the big screen with various singing and dance performances. Saito Takumi, Ono Ito, Yo Kimiko, Ihara Tsuyoshi, and Ando Sakura will all be performing various well-known songs, while actor Ichimura Masachika received the honor of singing one of the three original songs.
Another highlight will be the performance of the theme song, "Ai to Makoto no Fantasia", written exclusively for the movie by Hitoto You. All of the unique choreography will be handled by Papaya Suzuki.
Also appearing in the movie are Maeda Ken and child actor Kato Seishiro.
A short yet electrifying teaser for the movie has already been revealed a while ago, but those who've missed it can check it out below.
"Ai to Makoto" will be released in Japan on June 16th.
