A press conference for director Kitano Takeshi's latest film, 'Outrage Beyond', was held on April 17th at a lodging facility in Chiba Prefecture calledSeimei no Mori Resort. During this event, Kitano announced the new cast members for his upcoming movie.

Kitano has continued to produce movies since 1989's 'Sono Otoko, Kyoubou ni Tsuku', but this will be his first movie series. He commented, "The first film turned out exceptionally well (grossed 750,000,000 yen). So I thought the people who saw '1' would come and see '2'."

The release of 'Outrage 2' was first reported back in September of 2010, but productions were put to a halt after the Tohoku Earthquake. The movie was tentatively titled 'Outrage 2', but later changed to 'Outrage Beyond'. When asked about this title change, Kitano explained, "I didn't want it to be called a 'sequel'."

He continued, "When it gets to the 6th or 7th film, it's okay to do the same thing, but the 2nd and 3rd films have to be more interesting and unexpected than the previous ones. This time, of course the story line will continue from the previous one, but I think it will turn out to be an entertaining film that you can understand [without watching the first one]."

Among the newest cast members is actor Nishida Toshiyuki, whowill be working with Kitano for the very first time. He'll be playing the role of a young subordinate in a yakuza group. During the press conference, he joked, "I'm very happy to be able to participate in the Kitano Group. On top of that, I will get to play the role of the villain, so I'm excited."Other new additions include Takahashi Katsunori and Matsushige Yutaka.

It was also announced that 'Outrage Beyond' will be screened in over 200 theaters nationwide. When the first movie was released about two years ago, it was shown in only 155 theaters.

While 'Outrage Beyond' is currently in the middle of filming, Kitano expressed, "The script is very interesting. If I fail, I'll be blamed for my direction, so I will do my best."

'Outrage Beyond' will open in theaters on October 6th.
