It has been revealed that ELEPHANT KASHIMASHI will be providing the theme song for the upcoming movie "Nobou no Shiro", which will be released later this year on November 2nd.
"Nobou no Shiro" is based on the best-selling history novel of the same name, and features a variety of amazing actors, such as Nomura Mansai, Eikura Nana, Sato Koichi, Narimiya Hiroki, Yamaguchi Tomomitsu, Kamiji Yusuke, and Yamada Takayuki. Touted as a "double-director film", the movie will be directed by both Inudou Isshin and Higuchi Shinji and is said to be a magnificent historical play. The original release of the movie was affected by last year's disaster, and is finally set for a confirmed release date.
After watching the movie themselves, ELEPHANT KASHIMASHI wrote a song titled "Zureteru Hou ga Ii" especially for the film. Vocalist and guitarist Miyamoto Hiroji commented, "We projected our own hearts onto the main character Narita Nagachika, and came up with the keyword 'zureteru hou ga ii' (It's Better to Be a Little Off) to express the coolness of those guys who are a bit off-center."
Nomura Mansai, who plays Narita in the film, praised the song and said he felt deeply moved by "Zureteru Hou ga Ii". "It's extremely straight-up rock, and I was moved assuming that they felt the huge power from 'Nobou no Shiro'." he commented.
