On May 12th, film director�Ogigami Naoko's new movie 'Renta Neko' was released, and Ichikawa Mikako and other cast attended first screening event in Tokyo. Along with Ogigami and Ichikawa, co-star Kusamura Reiko, Mitsuishi Ken, Yamada Maho talked their delight to reach the first screening day. The movie will be shown at Berlin International Film Festival and other oversea's film festivals.
The story of the movie is about encounters of Sayoko (Ichikawa) who renting her cats and people who are lonely.
As the co-star explained Ichikawa's impression in the words, "Strange and mysterious", Ichikawa greeted audience by singing singing, "Renta?Neko...". Ogigami stated she directed the movie to highlight Ichikawa's unique character. As it was Ichikawa's second time starring in Ogigami's movie after 'Megane' (2007), she reflected, "At filming, I had try to catch a certain feeling with Ogigami director ... I would be happy if this movie will be an opportunity for you to reflect back in your mind after watching this."
Although co-stars�Tanaka Kei and Kobayashi Katsuya didn't appear this event, and Ogigami remarked, "Tanaka is too cool to make eye contact. He is a great actor who has a good sense. I want to drink with him ... [Kobayashi] is idea man! The scene he starts singing in was his ad lib."
'Renta Neko' is now showing in the theater.
