Sakamoto Ryuichi and Yano Akiko's daughter, singer Sakamoto Miu will be the voice behind the ending theme for the upcoming Disney Pixar film, 'Merida to Osoroshi no Mori' ('Brave').

The title of the song is "Inishie no Komoriuta", and this marks Sakamoto's first time singing a theme song for a Disney film. "I'm more than happy to be involved with a Disney Pixar movie like this," she commented.

'Merida to Osoroshi no Mori' is the latest Disney Pixar film, and it tells the story about a princess named Merida who loves to shoot with a bow and arrow while riding horses. Her dream is to be released from her responsibilities as a princess and live freely.

However, one day, Merida defies an ancient custom, bringing upheaval to the kingdom. With her strength and courage, she stands up against the crisis and grows as a princess.AKB48's Oshima Yuko will be the voice for Merida in the Japanese version of the film.

"Inishie no Komoriuta" is a lullaby that Merida sings with her mother Elinor. Sakamoto will be in charge of both the singing voices of mother and daughter. She commented, "To divide the parts into the feeling of aninnocent child and the feeling of a protective mother, it was a strange experience as if I was singing a duet with myself as a child."

'Merida to Osoroshi no Mori' will open in theaters on July 21.
