On July 1st, it was announced that the Fuji TV serial drama �Iki mo Dekinai Natsu� (begins airing July 10, Tuesdays 9 PM) starring actress Takei Emi (18), will use British singer-songwriter Adele�s (24) songs in the series.� This is the first time ever that Adele, who won 6 Grammys this year, has collaborated with a serial drama.� Furthermore, she recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child, a continuation of her auspiciousness, which might carry over to make the drama a hit as well!
Adele has fascinated the world with her husky, emotion-filled vocals and her stories of forbidden love in her songs.
Her newest album �21� has sold a record-breaking amount of approximately 22,000,000 copies worldwide and in February of this year, it grabbed the prize of Album of the Year at the Grammys along with 5 other awards for a total of 6 Grammys.� She expressed happiness in her collaboration with Fuji TV�s serial drama �Iki mo Dekinai Natsu� in her statement, �I am extremely happy that many people in Japan have also listened to my album.�
The drama tells the story of a 41 year old former journalist�(played by Eguchi Yosuke, 44) who carries the burden of atonement for a certain incident, and �a 19-year-old girl (played by Takei) who has �no family register.�� In the drama, Adele�s Best Pop Solo Performance winning song �Someone Like You� and her song �Set Fire to the Rain� will be used.
According to a June 29th�Huffington Post report, Adele is �extremely happy� about having her first child with her charity boss boyfriend; moreover, it reported that one of her songs woke up a 7-year-old comatose girl in England.� This summer, her �miracle-inducing voice� will support Takei and Eguchi�s hotly anticipated drama.
