On July 20th, voice actress Kanda Akemi announced her marriage to a non-celebrity through her official Twitter account. She wrote, "As I write this to give my announcement, I'm once again reminded that I've become a wife."

"There are a lot of things that perplex me as I start my new life , but I am grateful to have met a person who I want to be with all the time. I hope to build a happy family," Kanda expressed, continuing with, "I will continue to do my best as Kanda Akemi, so I would be happy if you would support my works and characters as always."

Kanda is currently voicing the heroine, Oikawa Hazuki, in Fuji TV's anime series, 'Moyashimon Returns'. She also voices the 9th generation Oshima Yuko in AKB48's anime, 'AKB0048'.
