Recap of a-nation musicweek's 'Asia progress F' concert

On August 10th, AKB48 performed at a-nation musicweek�s live �Asia Progress F� concert which took place at the Yoyogi National Studium First Gymnasium in Tokyo.

AKB48 pushed the tension in the performance space to the max as they successively performed �Heavy Rotation,� �Ponytail to Shushu,� and �Aitakatta.�� Afterwards, the group�s sub-units and soloists performed their songs.� During the latter half, the group came together as one again and performed their new song �Gingham Check� which is set for a release on August 29th.

The group released in full that day their cute expressions, wild rocker-chick expressions, and smiles for summer memories, as well as their friendly side during the MC portion.� They showed how they captivate their fans and why they are so popular. ��After they finished their final performance, loud cheers continued to greet the group, so they performed an encore.� During all of the 14 songs they performed, the members communicated with the audience and created a warm atmosphere throughout the performance space that made the distance between the stage and the audience negligible.



The [purpose of the] �Asia progress F� concert is to show the robust Asian music scene and brings together a variety female artists of different nationalities and music styles.� Aside from AKB48, artists like girl next door, E-Girls, DA Mouth, ORANGE CARAMEL, Weather Girls, and PURETTY performed. �The seven groups served as Asia�s representatives as they performed with all of their energy during the 3.5 hour concert.

For the opening act of the concert, Taiwanese group Weather Girls, known for their weather reporting, and Korea-based PURETTY, known in recent discussions as KARA�s prot�g� group, appeared on stage.� Both of these newcomer groups showed their innocence and their charm in their performances and warmed the performance space.

Next, popular three-member unit girl next door performed.� In their band-style performance supported by drumming, they showed their live appeal with their upbeat tunes.� As they played their medley, they performed "all my life" (will be included in their upcoming single) which was a ballad song written by former�Every Litte Thing member Igarashi Mitsuru.

After vocalist Chisa shouted �It is still not enough, is it?,� the group performed their chart-topping song �Infinity.�� As they sang together loudly during the �Woo woo� portion of the chorus, all of the group members jumped as if it was already the climax of the live.

Multi-national Taiwan-based hip-hop group Da Mouth performed next.� With their newest electronic sound, blending the sounds of a female vocalist, a male vocalist, and a male rapper to create their own unique musical style, the group turned Yoyogi National Studium First Gymnasium�performance space into a dance floor.

The dancers and group members showed off their cool dance moves and crammed the performance with their charm and presence to the overwhelming roar of the crowd.� During the group�s performance of medium-tempo song �Beautiful Luv,� the audience put their hands up and created a happy scene that showed how music has no national boundaries.

E-Girls then performed their dance track and showed off their skillful dance right from the start.� The highlight of their performance came when total of 26 members from Dream, Happiness, FLOWER, and so on, came together as one group and gave a united, mesmerizing performance.� After they announced their new song �Follow Me,� which will be released on October 3, especially loud cheers greeted them and the audience swayed their bodies intensely to the up-beat sound.

Finally, appearing before their planned September 5 Japanese debut on the �Asia Progress F� stage, Korean girl group After School�s sub-unit ORANGE CARAMEL, comprised of Raina, Nana, and Lizzy, took the stage.� With their cute, easy-to-relate-to characters and unique dances, they put smiles on the faces of many audience members and filled the performance space with a soft atmosphere.

The group captivated the audience members� hearts as they wore orange horns and showed their �Akuma-chan dance� in�their Japanese debut song �Yasashii Akuma,� a cover of the song by Candies.� With this live performance, they showed their stage presence and carved their way into the hearts of many as they displayed their strong charm that is easy to fall to.
