On September 22, it was announced that 3-man rock band back number, which is climbing in popularity, will provide the theme song for Nagasawa Masami's new Fuji TV drama series Koukou Nyushi (High School Entrance Exam) (Saturdays at 11:10 PM). The series will begin airing on October 6.
The band wrote a new rock number, Aoi Haru (to be released for sale on November 7), for the drama; the song adds to the education mystery for the drama set around the concept of the high school entrance exam. The song has beautiful lyrics and a gorgeous melody and it is like their previous songs, which made them a hot topic before their mainstream debut last year. The lyrics of the song have particularly grabbed the attention of the public.
Vocalist Shimizu Iyori (28), who read Minato Kanaes script, expressed the emotional conflicts that exists in every character in the drama, in the song. Minato, who listened to the song, praised it with, There are times when I want to give up, but [after hearing the song] I thought that I should try just a little bit harder at this stage, and Shimizu also expressed his pride [towards the song] with, As the drama progresses, you can hear the song in many ways and I think it will become a meaningful song after viewers finish the series.
