It's been revealed that Nakamura Hikaru's manga series 'Saint Oniisan' will be getting an anime film adaptation. Prior to the film's release, the 8th volume of 'Saint Oniisan' (December 3rd release) will come in a regular edition as well as a special edition with an anime DVD.

The film will be directed by Takao Noriko ('THE IDOLM@STER'), written by Nezu Rika ('Kimi ni Todoke'), and produced by A-1 Pictures ('Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai'). Suzuki Keiichi of Moonriders and Shirai Ryoumei are working together for the score.

'Saint Oniisan' is a comedy manga that portrays the day-to-day lives of Buddha and Jesus, who share an apartment together in Tokyo, while enjoying their vacation on Earth. It's been serialized in 'Morning 2' since 2007, and received the 'Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize' in 2009.
