To commemorate the release of their new single, "UZA", AKB48's "UZA glasses" were distributed in Shibuya (Tokyo), Namba (Osaka), and Sakae (Nagoya) on October 27th.

These glasses were made of paper in the image of Halloween pumpkins, and were distributed to pedestrians by women dressed in Halloween costumes. At first the passersby looked at the women out of curiosity, but when they found out that this was a promotional novelty for AKB48's new single, they began to gather one after another. The 20,000 "UZA glasses" that were prepared for distribution were gone in the blink of an eye.



AKB48 will release "UZA" on October 31st.
