On December 5th at 2:33 am (JST), popular Kabuki actor Nakamura Kanzaburo (57) has passed away at the hospital in Bunkyo, Tokyo, due to acute respiratory distress syndrome.

Back in June, Nakamura revealed that he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and he was under medical care since then.

According to the announcement made by his agency, Nakamura received surgery for the�esophageal cancer on July 27th, and he was��showing a sign of recovery as he was able to walk around in the hospital ward, however, he developed pneumonia that allowed to proceed respiratory failure.

May his soul rest in peace.
