On June 29th, actor Arai Hirofumi attended the press conference of TV Tokyo's upcoming drama 'Taberu Dake'.

At the event, Arai was confronted with the recently published article which claimed that he and the 16 years younger actress, Nikaido Fumi went on a date and spent the night together. He was asked, "Do you have any woman to have yakiniku with?", and he immediately replied, "Yes, yes! Of course I do have one!"

However, he laughed and continued, "It's just that this article also said something about cold noodles. We didn't have cold noodles, though. I was really surprised."



It seems that there is some truth to the recent tabloid story as he nonchalantly confirmed that he was on a yakiniku date, but of course he neither went too much into detail nor dropped Nikaido's name during the press conference.

The drama 'Taberu Dake' is a live-action adaptation of a popular manga of the same name and features rock singer Goto Mariko in her first starring role. Goto plays a mysterious, gorgeous and always hungry woman who appears out of nowhere only to have a meal with others. Ishibashi Anna also appears in the drama.
