Artist Fantasista Utamaro has launched a new culture magazine called "WHAT'S A FANTASISTA UTAMARO!? by 'QUOTATION'" and actress Nagasawa Masami was chosen as the cover girl for the very first issue that went on sale on May 24.

Nagasawa is wearing an original "mangcamo" (manga camouflage) outfit by Utamaro. This urban camouflage style was inspired by Shibuya's busy and famous scramble crossing. It's a 2.5 dimensional concept that almost makes her become one with the background and strongly emphasizes Nagasawa's long and beautiful legs.

The main topic of the first issue is "Japan and Asia" and features a discussion between Nagasawa, Utamaro, photographer Ota Yoshiharu, and designer Sakabe Mikio.

Nagasawa added the point of view from an actress who already starred in a Taiwanese drama. She commented, "It's a really wonderful experience to go out and advance into the world. You gain so much for your personal growth." Of course there are also cultural differences, but that shouldn't become a barrier in her eyes. She added, "The most important thing is to show respect for others in order to be treated without any form of discrimination. Instead of wanting to get liked and understood by the other person, you yourself should strive to grow to like and to get to know the other person first."

The magazine also features an interesting conversation between Utamaro, photographer Ninagawa Mika, and record label TOY'S FACTORY's CEO Inaba Koichi. Moreover it follows the development of the collaboration between the popular "Vocaloid" character Hatsune Miku and the pop duo Yuzu
