It's been revealed that Hoshino Gen will be releasing his new single, "Jigoku de Naze Warui", on October 2nd. 

This will be used as the theme song for the upcoming movie of the same name which stars Hoshino himself. It was written after he received an offer from the movie's director Sono Sion. As Hoshino is currently receiving medical treatment, the recording was done before he went on hiatus. After hearing the song, director Sono commented, "Hoshino Gen has become my love itself. He is me, and I am him." 

The movie, 'Jigoku de Naze Warui', is scheduled to open in theaters on September 28th. It's an action movie that starts when the head of a yakuza (Kunimura Jun) helps his daughter (Nikaido Fumi) star in a movie. Hoshino plays a random man who becomes involved in the filming.
