Watanabe Dai, Kanjiya Shihori, Sano Shiro, and Sasano Takashi have been announced as the main supporting cast for the upcoming film 'Idai Naru, ShuRaRa-Bon' ('The Great ShuRaRa-Bon') starring Hamada Gaku and Okada Masaki. They join actress Fukada Kyoko, who was recently announced for a main role as well.
The film is based on a novel of the same name by Makime Manabu, whose other two novels 'Princess Toyotomi' and 'Battle League Horumo' were already turned into feature-length films. It portrays the mysterious Hinode family that lives in Iwabashiri at Lake Biwa. For generations, all members of the Hinode family have possessed special powers. "Hinode Tanjuro" (Hamada) is the direct heir and most powerful member of the Hinode family. He leads a very surreal life at the castle in Iwabashiri and things become more complicated when the distant relative "Hinode Ryosuke" (Okada) suddenly decides to freeload at the castle.
Other characters include Tanjuro's older sister - the "Great Kiyoko" (Fukada), Tanjuro's rival and heir to the similar mysterious Natsume family - "Natsume Hiromi" (Watanabe), Ryosuke's teacher and relative "Fujimiya Touko" (Kanjiya), Tanjuro's father "Hinode Tankuro" (Sano), and the boatman of the Hinode family - "Genjiro" (Sasano).
The rest of the cast is made up of Ono Ito as Tanjuro's love interest "Hayami Satsuki" and Murakami Hiroaki as Satsuki's father and the principal of the Iwabashiri High School - as well as Takada Nobuhiko, Taguchi Hiromasa, Kashiwagi Hinata (Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku), Koyanagi Yu, and Tsugawa Masahiko.
'Idai Naru, ShuRaRa-Bon' is slated for a release on March 8th, 2014.
