Ueno Juri talks about Matsumoto Jun and 'Hidamari no Kanojo'
It's the first time for Ueno and Matsumoto to work together. "Therefore we didn't really know what to talk about at first," she commented and described him as "a person who is extremely passionate about his work."
Ueno continued, "He seemed to be the most difficult member of Arashi to approach, but he actually makes you feel at ease and let you open your heart to him." She also praised him for working hard to create great teamwork and a good atmosphere among the cast. "He raises everyone's mood."
Although the film is about a heart-warming love story, the writer and director deliberately left out lines such as "I love you" out of the script. The actors were not even given the chance to practice those romantic scenes beforehand. Instead, the director encouraged the actors to naturally create the atmosphere. That way the actors would genuinely feel nervous, excited and sometimes suffocating when interacting with each other.
'Hidamari no Kanojo' has opened in cinemas today.
