On November 2nd, SEKAI NO OWARI appeared at Waseda University's school festival live. During this live, the band announced that they would release their new single "Snow Magic Fantasy" on January 22, 2014. 

Regarding their new release, Fukase (Vo) explained, "It's unusual, but I wrote a love song," and continued, "But it's not done yet." It's said to be a winter song with the lonely and dazzling feeling of winter. 

The single will be released in 3 different types: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. Limited Edition A will come with a CD containing live audio tracks from their one-man live 'Honoo to Mori no Carnival', while Limited Edition B will come with a DVD including the PV and digest footage from 'Honoo to Mori no Carnival'. 

On this day, the band performed their popular songs, like "Starlight Parade", "Fantasy", "Tenshi to Akuma", "RPG", and "Instant Radio", for about 4,000 people. During the MC, Nakajin (Leader, Sound Produce, G) said, "This is SEKAI NO OWARI's first school festival live!" Fukase added, "I love Waseda Festival. I come every year. So I'm happy that we're able to hold a live here."
