Kanjani8's latest single "Kokoro Sora Moyou"(released on December 4) sold 193,000 copies in the first week, and they grabbed the number one spot on Oricon's weekly single ranking.
This marked the group's 12th consecutive (and 20th total) chart-topping single (including "ER" which they released under the name "Eight Ranger").
"Kokoro Sora Moyou" is being used as the theme song for a member Nishikido Ryo's starring drama "Yorozu Uranaidokoro Onmyoya e Youkoso."
It is also the first single for the group's 3 consecutive months releases. On January 15, they will be releasing another single "Hibiki", the theme song for Okura Tadayoshi's upcoming starring drama "Dr. DMAT", and "King of Otoko!" that is the theme song for a new movie "Mogura no Uta Sennyuu Sousakan REIJI" (starring Ikuta Toma) on February 19.
