The January 29th issue of "anan" magazine (Vol. 1891) brings readers a 62 page special feature on female idols titled, "Hisokani Idol Kenkyu!". The cover girl for this issue is the girl recently touted as "the idol that appears once in a 1000 years", Hashimoto Kanna.

Features of various idol groups including Morning Musume '14, E-girls and more, the issue also contains Shinoda Mariko's interview about graduating from AKB48. Furthermore, the segment "Girls' favorite idol groups Best 5" introduced the idol groups 9nine, Nogizaka46, ?-ute, BABYMETAL, and Tokyo Girls' Style.

There will also be a special feature titled "As if you are the cover of a fashion magazine!" which Mogami Moga (of Dempagumi.inc), Kumai Yurina (of Berryz Kobo), Hashimoto Nanami (of Nogizaka46), and more appear, while over 35 more groups including Negicco, Himekyun Fruits Can and Berryz Kobo were introduced in the "Complete manual catalogue of female idols for the beginner girls". Including the groups in which some of its members made appearances in the magazine, this issue contained a grand total of 54 idol groups. 

Furthermore, producers and choreographers such as Tsunku, Takenaka Natsumi, Mofuku-chan and Kobayashi Tsukasa were also interviewed.
