In December of last year, Saeko released her first photo book titled 'EPISODE 1' and surprised her fans with many bold semi-nude pictures.
However, according to its publisher Takarajima, the photo book has been a much bigger hit among women than men. So far the book has sold over 110,000 copies and statistical evaluations say that 82% of all the buyers have been women. Takarajima stated that it's a first for them to have photo book of a female celebrity with a female ratio of around 80%.
The theme of the photo book is "gravure for girls" and features semi-nude pictures such as the self-styled "marshmallow nude" shot. Saeko herself stood in front of the camera while thinking how to express herself towards women. "Therefore showing skin in this book isn't erotically focused, but a form of fashion and art. I'd be glad if this books serves as a trigger for women to try something new."
On the 25th, Saeko attended a handshake event to commemorate the release of her photo book. As expected, there were mostly women and girls who wanted to meet and greet the talento. They praised her the second she appeared at the venue. Some of them even burst into tears. Many women also came with their children, so there were adorable moments like Saeko getting a hug from a 3-year-old boy.
