JCCC/CJC announce a special J-Pop Concert at '2014 Japan Festival'

The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago and the Chicago Japanese Club are pleased to announce the special performance of anime and game song singer Ayane and human beatbox Daichi on Saturday, June 7th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Forest View Educational Center (2121 Goebbert Road, in Arlington Heights, IL). 


Concert tickets are $22 in advance or $25 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased online (here). The ticket does not include a $5 value pass (on Saturday only) to the 32nd Annual Japan Festival. 

Award winning anime and video game superstar vocalist Ayane has attracted an international audience among anime and video game fans. Her hits include the debut single "KIZUNA" (TV anime "W Wish" opening theme), the opening theme of "cloudier sky" (TV anime "AYAKASHI" opening theme), and "Arrival of Tears" (TV Anime "11eyes" opening song). Her song "Lunatic Tears" (PC game "11 eyes" opening theme) won the 'Golden Award for Theme Song' at the 'Bishoujo Game Awards'. In 2013, Ayane released songs, which were used for the vastly popular Sci-Fi adventure series "STEINS; GATE", which expanded her name internationally.

YouTube sensation and winner of New York's Apollo Theater's "REMIX ROUND" Daichi has received over 23 million hits for his hit video "Daichi for Beatbox Battle Wildcard" from more than 145,000 YouTube subscribers. Without using any instruments or machines, Daichi can make more than 50 different sounds using his voice, lips, nose, and tongue. He can play rhythm beat and sing a melody all at the same time.

Founded in 1966, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Chicago seeks to develop and advance understanding between the Japanese and American business communities. 

The Chicago Japanese Club is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to building friendships between Japanese and American citizens through cultural exchanges and social activities.
