It's been revealed that the "young members" of AKB48 will hold a nationwide tour.

This surprise announcement was made on January 25 during AKB48's annual event 'AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 1035 2015' at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL. After the announcement, the members look at each other with an confused expression and asked, "What is young? And�what is old?"�

The dividing line between "young" and "old" was not revealed during this event. General manager Takahashi Minami hinted, "Will the management decide?", then said to Kashiwagi Yuki, "We're not young right?" She brought laughter among the crowd by continuing to NMB48's Yamamoto Sayaka�by saying, "Your presence is old," and to SKE48's Suda Akari, "Old." Sashihara Rino, who watched Takahashi interacting with the other members, suggested, "Let's hold an event to determine who's young and who's old!"�

After celebrating their 10th anniversary, AKB48 has seen a change in generation. As such, the "young members" tour was planned to liven up the young members. Takahashi encouraged the young members saying, "I want you to set out on your own instead of following the paths of your senpai."

The tour is scheduled to kick off on March 25 at Saitama Super Arena. On the following day, March 26, the old members will join in to hold a one-man concert.�
