Mr.Children's new song "Starting Over", which will be included in their upcoming album "REFLECTION" (June 4 release), has been picked up as the theme song for the anime film 'Bakemono no Ko' scheduled to open in theaters on July 11.�

'Bakemono no Ko' is director Hosoda Mamoru's first film in about 3 years. It's story revolves around a human boy's adventures after straying into the world of "beasts". The voice cast is comprised of Yakusho Koji, Miyazaki Aoi, Sometani Shota, Hirose Suzu, Tsugawa Masahiko, Lily Franky, and Oizumi Yo.�

The movie's production crew requested Mr.Children to sing the theme song. After many meetings, director Hosoda heard "Starting Over", and gave rave review of the song, saying that the lyrics and song represent the movie's worldview.�
