Itano Tomomi has landed her first lead movie role in 'Nozokime' that's scheduled to open in theaters next spring.
'Nozokime' is based on a horror novel of the same title by Mitsuda Shinzou. The story revolves around the mystery of 'nozokime', a 'peeping eye' that watches humans from tiny cracks that can be found in one's everyday life. When a person comes eye-to-eye with the 'nozokime', they are faced with uncontrollable fear.
Itano plays 'Mishima Ayano', a novice AD at a TV broadcasting station, who searches for the truth of the 'nozokime'. The movie is directed by Miki Koichiro, who is known for the 'Torihada' movie series.
According to sources, the movie has already finished filming. Itano commented, "I threw my usual self away, and dove into director Miki's production. After we finished filming, I felt like I burst through a shell. I am looking forward to its completion."
