Former AKB48 member Takajo Aki has left Watanabe Productions in April, and will now be carrying out her activities as a free agent.
On May 1, Takajo updated her official blog and made the announcement. "In order to move forward with my life after graduating from AKB48, as a talent and as a human being, I have to see the world and grow," she commented.
Takajo joined AKB48 back in 2008. In 2012, she was sent to Indonesia to be a part of JKT48. She was also a member of sub-unit French Kiss with Kuramochi Asuka and Kashiwagi Yuki. In January of this year, she held her graduation concert at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL. Since then, she has been acting in stage plays.
Takajo expressed, "I am very grateful for Watanabe Entertainment, who took care of, and raised a novice talent like me. Thank you very much." She added, "I will do my best to move toward my dreams little by little at my pace. Please continue to support me."
