The 34-year-old actor wrote, "Though this is sudden, I have an announcement to make to you all. Due to a personal circumstance, I will be retiring as an actor, which I have been for 15 years, after the 2016 summer tour for musical 'Annie'."
He added, "I am not famous nor an amazing actor, so it's been more hard times than fun times. However, because of the hard times, I have been able to do my best until today. Acting was the only thing I have done in these past 15 years. There are tons of things I wish I could have done and also tons of things left for me to do, but I decided to retire on my own."
At the end of the blog, Ohkuchi asked his fans, "But it is not over yet, I still have the 'Annie' summer tour, and I will do my best until the end so please watch over me with your warm eyes."
Ohkuchi made his acting debut in "Kamen Rider 555" back in 2003. He made his appearances in dramas like "Umizaru", "Joou Virgin", and the movie "Crows Zero". He was also active in stage plays.
