Utada Hikaru's song "Ningyo" has been chosen as the theme song for the 'Old Masters from the State Hermitage Museum' exhibition.
"Ningyo" was included in Hikki's latest album "Fantôme," and this will be the first time that her song will be used in an art exhibition. In an official interview, she commented on this song, "I almost gave up on it after struggling with it for about a year as it did not catch up to my ideal. That's when the words started pouring out. It's a song that I have a strong sense of accomplishment for and I'm most proud of. This song suddenly came about as I was strumming my guitar when I thought I would never be able to write music again after my mother's death. "
'Old Master from the State Hermitage Museum' exhibition will open at Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi.
