Actress Usuda Asami (33) and rock band OKAMOTO'S drummer Okamoto Reiji (27) are expecting their first child. 

In a fax announcement, the couple announced, "It's a personal matter, but we have been blessed with a new life. We are currently eight months pregnant, and spending each day while savoring the joy." 

Usuda plans to continue working while monitoring her physical condition.
