On March 2, model Rinka announced on Instagram that she would be closing down her shop 'MAISON DE REEFUR' by the end of the year.
Rinka wrote, "I have an announcement for everyone. I would like to announce that all MAISON DE REEFUR shops will be shutting its doors at the end of the year." The first shop opened 7 years ago in Daikanyama, which was 4 month since she gave birth to her son. She reflected, "I remember those days very clearly. When I opened the doors to the shop at 11:00 am, there were so many people lining up and waiting outside regardless of the rain." She revealed that she was very anxious at the time thinking that nobody would come all while struggling as a new mother. "I still remember breaking down into tears," she said.
Rinka explained the reason for closing the shops, "We are in an era where time goes by very quickly. As my thoughts and desires changed, I began to admit my lack of ability and felt it was difficult to keep up this big business." She continued, "When I thought about how I should live my remaining life, I wanted to slow down and live my life more leisurely."
Finally, she expressed, "I am really grateful to everyone who has continued to support me until now. Thank you for loving the brand MAISON DE REEFUR. Please continue to support MAISON DE REEFUR until the very last day."
