On May 2, former AKB48's Takahashi Minami announced her marriage. 

Takahashi married a non-celebrity man 15 years her senior on May 1. She wrote, "He is 15 years older than me and was born in the Showa Era. I was born in the Heisei Era, and we started dating in May, so we decided to move forward as family at the beginning of this new 'Reiwa' Era." On her husband, she commented, "He is a very gentle and kind person who is also loved by my hard-to-please cat. He supports me everyday with smiles."
