On July 17, former SKE48 member Kato Rumi updated her official blog announcing her marriage to a non-celebrity man.

Kato wrote, "It's a personal matter, but I, Kato Rumi, registered my marriage with someone I had been dating for some time on July 7." On her husband, she said, "He is a non-celebrity. He is someone I respect who is reliable and thoughtful."

At the end, she expressed, "Right now, I am truly happy," and continued, "To everyone who always supports me, I will do my best to continue working as myself, so it would make me happy if you would watch over me warmly."
