The hosts for the '70th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen' have been announced. 

The main host for this year's program is Uchimura Teruyoshi for his third consecutive year. In addition, the host for the red team will be actress Ayase Haruka, while the white team's host will be Arashi's Sakurai Sho. 

On being the host for the first Kohaku of the Reiwa Era, Ayase commented, "I want to make it a Kohaku Uta Gassen that will give people energy." Similarly, Sakurai stated, "I hope the three of us will deliver a program that would be a fanfare for the new era and 2020."
