On May 29, actors Yamazaki Kento and Yoshizawa Ryo made an appearance on the showbiz corner of NTV's morning program 'ZIP!' where it was announced that the sequel for the live-action 'Kingdom' film is in the works. 

Yamazaki made the announcement, saying, "I was just overjoyed thinking 'Finally! Yes!'" Yoshizawa similarly stated, "It felt real when I received the script. I want to deliver a sequel that exceeds expectations." 

On the storyline, Yamazaki said, "That I can't say," but revealed, "One thing I can say is that Shin (Xin) goes into the battlefield." 

Hashimoto Kanna, who played the role of Ka Ryo Ten (He Liao Diao), made a remote appearance on the program. She commented, "I am really happy that it's actually confirmed. I can't say what happens though."
