Nogizaka46's new song "Route 246" will be digitally released on July 24. This song was composed and arranged by Komuro Tetsuya.
Komura retired from the music industry back in January of 2018. Since writing, composing, and producing LaLuce's "Kaze yo Fuke!" that same year, he had taken a step back from the front line of the industry.
"Route 246" comes over 2 years since Komuro last provided a song for an artist. With the concept of "friendship," the lyrics were written by Akimoto Yasushi, who had invited Komuro to collaborate many times since his retirement. "This person can't live without music. He is a clumsy person who is blind to the things around him once he is absorbed into music. Because of that, he has probably caused trouble to many people. However, Komuro Tetsuya is only able to pay that back with music. Please listen to 'Route 246.' I believe you will be able to feel his passion toward music," he stated.
Komuro, who accepted the collaboration after careful consideration, commented, "I worked on the song wholeheartedly so that I could meet my friend's expectations."
The group is scheduled to perform "Route 246" on MUSIC STATION's 3 and a half hour special on July 24.
