Yonezu Kenshi has announced that he will be holding an event in the online battle royale game 'FORTNIGHT' titled 'Yonezu Kenshi 2020 Event / STRAY SHEEP in FORTNITE' on August 7.

Yonezu was scheduled to hold his nationwide tour 'Yonezu Kenshi 2020 TOUR / HYPE' from February to April. Although it had been postponed, he announced that the tour has been canceled due to COVID-19. On his Instagram account (@hachi_08), he said, "There is a big difference between actually coming to a venue and getting together through a screen. However, right now, it is unrealistic to create a space where a large group of people can come together. As I searched for another way, I decided to experiment and hold an event like this. In these unprecedented times, there isn't much that a musician like me can do. In these ever-changing times, I want to spend a beautiful moment together with everyone that is different from before." 

Players from across the globe can participate in the event on August 7 from 8:00 pm JST as long as they have 'FORTNITE' installed on their PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Smart Phone, or PC. An encore of the event is also scheduled on the following day, August 8, from 2:00 am and 8:00 am.
