It's been reported that actor Mashima Hidekazu (43) has tested positive for the new coronavirus. 

Mashima's agency tweeted on August 10th, "We have received a diagnosis from the medical institution that Mashima Hidekazu has been infected with the novel coronavirus." They explained, "On August 6th, he had a fever of 37.8°C (100.4°F), so he consulted a medical institution and received the PCR test. The result came back positive the following day. Currently, his temperature is back to normal and he has an appetite. He is experiencing no other symptoms." 

Mashima is set to star in the NTV drama 'Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki.' to premiere on August 13th. According to the drama's official Twitter account, filming has already wrapped up on August 1st, so he had no close contact with the cast and staff members. The drama will begin as scheduled on August 13th.
