It's been reported that actress Shinato Ruri passed away on August 28. She was 31 years old. 

On August 31, Shinato's agency announced, "On August 28, 2020, actress Shinato Ruri (age at death 31) passed away from a chronic illness. As the news of her death is so sudden, we are finding it difficult to accept the reality. It is very unfortunate." They continued, "We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts to everyone for warmly watching over Shinato Ruri until now. Thank you very much."

Shinato's funeral has already been held with family only. Our deepest condolences go out to her loved ones at this difficult time. 

Shinato recently appeared in the TBS drama 'Hanzawa Naoki' which aired on August 16.
