
Shoji Tomoharu (44) of comedian duo Shinagawa Shoji has been infected with the novel coronavirus.
According to his agency Yoshimoto Kogyo, "Shoji complained of poor health on August 12th, then received the PCR test on the 13th, which came back positive on the 14th. Currently, he is at home awaiting instructions from the health center."
After the agency's announcement, Shoji updated his Twitter account saying, "As it has already been announced by my agency, I had a fever and dizziness on the night of the 12th. I did the PCR test on the 13th, and received my positive diagnosis today. I had been careful to prevent the infection, but I feel like I should've done more."
He continued, "I am currently at home in accordance with the instruction from the medical institution and health center. To my supporters and persons concerned, I am sorry to worry and trouble you. It is possible that my family has it as well, so we will be taking measures as soon as possible."
Shoji is married to Fujimoto Miki, and they have three children together.
