Makihara Noriyuki has released an official statement after being sentenced for illegal drug possession. 

Makihara was arrested earlier in February, then on August 3rd, he was sentenced for two years in prison, and suspended for three years. On his official website, he announced that he will be going on hiatus, "I will sincerely accept the results of today's trial, and for the time being, I will take a break from my scheduled activities." He continued, "I would like to compensate for my sins, and do my best every day in order to gain everyone's trust back as soon as possible."
