It's been reported that actress Ashina Sei has passed away on September 14 from an apparent suicide. She was 36-years-old. 

According to her agency Horipro, Ashina's body was found by relatives at her apartment in Shinjuku. The cause of her death is currently under investigation.

Ashina has starred in many dramas including 'Aibou,' 'Theseus no Fune,' 'Nobunaga no Chef,' and 'ST Aka to Shiro Sousa File,' the NHK Taiga drama 'Yae no Sakura,' and movies 'Kensatsugawa no Zainin,' 'AI Houkai,' 'Kamogawa Horumo,' and 'Kamui Gaiden.'
